Start BTJ European Tour 2009 - Let's Bury the Jumbo Boeing 747!
Bury & The Captain left!
In their luggage is a good portion of humour...
Let's Bury the Jumbo Boeing 747!
thegap magazine with first report
Even though the European Tour has not yet started, BTJ is already a topic in the Austrian magazine thegap.at.
Hello Vienna, Bury & The Captain are on their way!
Let's Bury the Jumbo Boeing 747!
Jasmin O'Meara (ZOOT WOMAN) became a Creative Contributior
ZOOT WOMAN is a British alternative pop group from Reading, England, featuring Johnny Blake, Adam Blake, Stuart Price and Jasmin O’Meara.
Last month, the Captain met the band backstage after their concert in Zurich, which was organised by Supkultur. Jasmin O’Meara immediately became a fan of BTJ and asked for a pin. Like everybody, she was told to make a contribution. There are no free pins.
Look, what we got! Our Jumbo will look very, very pritty thanks to Jasmin's contribution!
We will hand out the pin personally when we are in London, during our European trip!

Chef de Cabine Tatiana
Tina Weiss did it again! For her Street & Business Style pictures, she got now the most randy model in town! Our Chef de Cabine Tatiana presents the BTJ stewardess costume, which is designed by herself and tailored by Quature.
These stewardes costumes are custom-made and handcrafted in Switzerland. This dress can be ordered for $350, cap included.

We are going to meet them during our European tour next weeks. They are situated in the "city" called Venlo. We are curious about what the guys have plot for BTJ in the meantime.
Joost Backus, one of them, performed at PechaKuchaNight, after our meeting in Zurich. Topic: "Koyaanisqatsi in a Modern setting: The Circle Economy".
PechaKucha is not bad, so Bury & The Captain has applied for the next PKNight in March 2010. They will explain the audience how to bury the Jumbo.

PLAN B - Let's Bury the Jumbo Boeing 747!
After the denial of Hornbach we figured out a plan b.
Bury & The Captain will travel about Europe to promote BTJ. Because there is actually no money on the Bury the Jumbo acount, they pay this trip out of their own pockets. Information about their adventures will be published in this blog.
The two fellows will travel by train for 20 days and stop over in:
- Vienna
- Berlin
- Paris
- London
If you know places/opportunities to stay overnight, please let us know.
If you think that Bury & The Captain have to visite you, please let us know.
The utensils in the video will help them to explain to the international audience what they are promoting exactely.
Bon voyage!

The denial of Hornbach
Unfortunately, Hornbach doesn't support our project (the rebuilding of the Jumbo's tail fin).

We congratulate the 10 winners and wish them good luck with their creative work. We are very curious about your projects!
In the meantime, we figure out a plan b!

Application for cash
Because the cash inflow (donations) stagnates, we have to find a way to get the money for production of our website and our actions.
According to its general principle, the City of Zurich distributes every year CHF 100'000 to cultural projects.
BTJ supports several creative individuals. Therefor we are eligible. We have asked for a financial contribution (CHF15'000) to our production costs (which are much MUCH more!).
We keep our fingers crossed!
(The same to you.)
I was a Boeing
The attached article by the Financial Times includes entertaining information about the crap we are going to bury. Did you know that it's more than 75 tonnes of aluminium?
This is about 4.2 Mio. empty cans of beer.

Thanks for the hint, Marco Hubeli.
