The Funeral March "the Jumbo is dead - let's bury the Jumbo"
will take place on Tuesday, 30 June 2009. Two horses pull the tail fin
through Zurich. 5 musicians (Tonhalle Zurich) play the Funeral March
while escorting the team of horses. After reaching the gallery, the
tail fin is lifted to the roof by a crane.

Schedule

18:00 - Departure from Kaserne
19:00 - Arrival at message salon
21:00 - Tail Fin is installed on the roof

The action is determined so far:

1. we rebuild the tail fin on a car (cost approx. $450)
2. 2 horses will pull this car through the streets (cost approx. $550)
3. 5 musicians (Tonhalle, Zurich) play the Funeral March (cost $0)
4. we arrive at message salon downtown, Langstrasse
5. a cran will lift the tail fin up to the roof (cost approx. $600)
6. duration of installation: 2 weeks
7. all our members will obtain space for an own statement.

Daniele Kaehr has offered his creative skills to realise our vision: he has an idea to boost creativity and to promote BTJ.

Daniele wants to install some photo cameras in Zurich. Together with the cam he
wants to place a BTJ-t-shirt. People can put the shirt on and take a
picture. We will promote the pictures here on the blog.

The cost for this action will be about $50.

The gallery HAAS & FISCHER, Zurich is organising a summercamp. 10 artists/groups are invited to perform for 1 day at the gallery. The shows take place from 8. - 19. July 2009.

Roger Haas, one of the gallerists, wants BTJ to apply for the camp. We
now start to collect your ideas for a performance. If you have any
input, just comment.

Application deadline: 15 June 2009.

message salon downtown is the gallery of Esther Eppstein and is placed at Langstrasse, Zurich. Our idea is to place our tail fin (seen at Marks Blond, Bern) on the terrace of this gallery. To make you familiar with Esther and the idea, we made a short video.
