European Tour - Berlin

Bury and the Captain connected to many people in Berlin, e.g.

  • Darko Dragicevic: film director & visual artist
  • Reinier Sikkens, creative entrepreneur in Berlin
  • The graphic artist Hara Katsiki
  • The sound engineer Lukas Walter from Hastings

European Tour - Vienna

The university of Vienna is squated by its students. Their demands.

Bury & The Captain hoped to find like-minded people. They discussed about Bury the Jumbo.

European Tour 2009 - Start

Bury & The Captain left!

In their luggage is a good portion of humour...

Chef de Cabine Tatiana

Tina Weiss did it again! For her Street & Business Style pictures, she got now the most randy model in town! Our Chef de Cabine Tatiana presents the BTJ stewardess costume, which is designed by herself and tailored by Quature.

These stewardes costumes are custom-made and handcrafted in Switzerland. This dress can be ordered for $350, cap included.

PLAN B

After the denial of Hornbach we figured out a plan b.

Bury & The Captain will travel about Europe to promote BTJ. Because there is actually no money on the Bury the Jumbo acount, they pay this trip out of their own pockets. Information about their adventures will be published in this blog.

The two fellows will travel by train for 20 days and stop over in:

  • Vienna
  • Berlin
  • Paris
  • London

If you know places/opportunities to stay overnight, please let us know.
If you think that Bury & The Captain have to visite you, please let us know.

The utensils in the video will help them to explain to the international audience what they are promoting exactely.

Bon voyage!

Application for cash

Because the cash inflow (donations) stagnates, we have to find a way to get the money for production of our website and our actions.

According to its general principle, the City of Zurich distributes every year CHF 100'000 to cultural projects.

BTJ supports several creative individuals. Therefor we are eligible. We have asked for a financial contribution (CHF15'000) to our production costs (which are much MUCH more!).

We keep our fingers crossed!
(The same to you.)

Hornbach supports 10 creative ideas

The german company Hornbach has launched a special competition: 10 creative ideas will be supported with material from their shops to the amount of CHF 25'000.

We applied with the rebuilding of the original Jumbo's 1:1 tail fin.

See our application here.

Let's explain BTJ to the Poles

Some time ago the Captain was invited to a game of polo in Poland. To bring BTJ to an international level, he accepted the invitation and flew to Warsaw.

BTJ has actually three Polish members. And, believe it or not, even the Polish Minister of Economic Affairs has been explained personally about our project.

BTJ T-shirts: lovingly hand-made

Every T-shirt is unique and lovingly hand-made by Bury & the Captain. They learned how to do screenprints.

When you buy one of this T-shirts you will help us to change the world by creativity! We will invest the money to support other creative people and to bury the Jumbo!

Check out the new shop.

Have a look at the photo shoot of the T-shirts, too.

Let's explain BTJ to the designers

The Captain was attending a speech of Daniel Freitag. He talked about his "Geschäft" (not quite the same as business!), which is the company FREITAG

This event was presented by CreativeMornings and hosted by Tina Roth Eisenberg, better known as swissmiss.

Unconsciously, Daniel said something about BTJ's sustainability while explaining the expression cradle to cradle.

See more pictures of the event on flickr.
